An independent study is a program at my high school that allows students in grades 11 and 12 to dedicate 1 block in their schedule towards a topic/course that would not otherwise be offered. My topic was web design, utilizing (x)html, css (cascading style sheets), and JavaScript to create a portfolio web page for myself. My independent study is currently in full swing, and I am constantly working to improve mjrportfolio.com, and learn more about web design. Of course I am having alot of help with things. Mr. Sargent, my supervisor, purchased a book on html for me.

So with all of that being said, please feel free to view any of my notes, I think that they display the major subject matter of each chapter, and even provide examples pretty well. But their main purpose of course was to practice techniques that I learned from the book and from the notes themselves.

The first thing I did in my independent study was code up my rubric.
